Early career

Frank Wiafe Danquah began in the youth teams of Ajax Amsterdam in the Netherlands. After a spell at First Division side FC Omniworld he was given a trial by Newcastle United and signed with them a youth contract in July 2006.[1] He impressed in the reserves and became the reserves' topscorer and on 8 July 2008 he signed a 2-year professional contract with Newcastle United.[2]

When his contract expired in the summer of 2010 he was not given a new contract and instead he joined Ferencváros in Hungary. His contract with the club was disbanded though due to financial problems in late 2010. On 17 February 2011 he joined Waasland-Beveren in Belgium.[3]

In September 2011, Danquah went on trial at Conference National side Gateshead,[4] featuring for their reserves on 21 September in a 0–1 loss against Sunderland Reserves.[5]
